To be scored, a boat must be primarily helmed during the race by a regular skipper, co-skipper, or a combination of regular skippers and/or co-skippers based on the Sonar Fleet 11 membership roster.
All starts at the Worry Wart at 1330 hrs, unless otherwise noted.
Race Committee for Club races monitors Ch. 78
All club races open to North Shore Yacht Club members only except the North Shore Yacht Club Day Race and the Moonlight Regatta, which are open to any member of an organized yacht club or the Yacht Racing Association of Long Island Sound (YRALIS).
A CRUISING START: The starting signal of the regular starting sequence will initiate a 10 minute period within which a boat may cross the starting line and her start time will be individually recorded. A boat will be timed from her individual start time to her finish time. There will be no need for the fleet to crowd the starting line. Any boat racing that starts after the ‘Start’ plus 10 minutes will receive this time as her starting time.
North Shore Yacht Club, as well as other participating yacht clubs in Cow Bay Racing Association, attends and officiates on the Worry Wart for selected dates. We have at least two members at each of our RC dates to represent the North Shore Yacht Club Race Committee (please check with Racing Chair for required dress code and procedures).
