     Reiman Trophy:             Best performance by a NSYC racing boat in any division

Spring Tune-Up:                    Sun May 23                          Any crew; in the Bay

Borden Cup*:                        Sat Jun 5                              Full crew; in the Sound 

Smith Cup:                             Sat Jun 19                            Two Handed; in the Bay

Epstein Trophy:                     Sun Jul 11                             Single Handed; conditional

Club Race:                            Sat Jul 31                              Any crew; in the Sound

Snyder Cup:                          Sat Aug 22                            Two handed; in the Sound

Commodore’s Cup:               Sat Sep 11                             Full crew; in the bay 

The Club Race Series:
o       The series consists of these 7 club PHRF races
o       A perpetual NSYC trophy for ‘the Club Race Series’ will be awarded
o       A boat must finish 4 of the 7 races to qualify for the series
o       Finishing order in the race will determine the points awarded, i.e.
      1st=1 point, 2nd=2 points, 3rd=3 points, etc.
o       A boat that doesn’t finish a race (DNF) will be scored 1+ the number of
      boats that start
o       A boat’s best finishes for any four races will be used
o       Low total points will determine 1, 2, 3 places
o       * The Borden Cup will use a racing start. All other races will use
       a cruising start.

All starts at the Worry Wart 30 min. prior to OD starts unless otherwise noted.

All club races open to North Shore Yacht Club members only except the North Shore Yacht Club Day Race and the Moonlight Regatta, which are open to any member of an organized yacht club or
 the Y. R. A. of  L. I. S.
 

 
  Notes:

  A CRUISING START: The starting signal of the regular starting sequence will initiate a 10 minute period within which a boat may cross the starting line and her start time will be individually recorded.  A boat will be timed from her individual start time to her finish time. There will be no need for the fleet to crowd the starting line. Any boat racing that starts after the 'Start' plus 10 minutes will receive this time as her starting time.

North Shore Yacht Club, as well as other participating yacht clubs in Cow Bay Racing Association, is required to attend/officiate on the Worry Wart for selected dates. We are required to have at least two members at each of our RC dates to represent the North Shore Yacht Club Race Committee (please check with Racing Chair for required dress code and procedures):
