At the mooring - Alone or with crew

Call the Club on the radio Ch 78 / if there is no response call channel 16 and call the police if possible (above), then STAY with the patient!

The club steward/launch operator will ask: 
- the
patient's name and age
- boat name and location
- number of people aboard
- nature of emergency

The club's steward will call the police and/or channel 16 and provide them with the club's address, boat and location.

The launch operator will make sure the launch is ready to take EMS people on board as soon as they arrive. He will keep the VHF on to monitor the patient/crew.

If a MD or certified CPR person is on hand, the second launch could be used to them on board.

In No Case should the patient be brought back to shore if they are unconscious, about to faint, or incapacitated. A minimum of 4 people are required to trans-board a patient.
